RUNWAY WITH A TWIST

Leave it to eclectic lingerie designer Frederick's of Hollywood to do something different at their Spring 2008 Fashion Show. This different move was all in the name of charity. Each model that sashayed down the runway wore an item designed by celebrity. The item in question is a corset!

Here's the rundown:

Simpson was one of 40 celebrities who designed corsets that will be auctioned on clothesoffourback.org beginning Friday to raise funds for actress Jane Kaczmarek's Clothes Off Our Back.

Out of the 40 celebrities, here are the best designs by Mary J Blige, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce Knowles, Lucy Liu, Dita Von Teese, Scarlett Johansson, and Jane Kaczmarek.

Kaczmarek's corset design this year was based on one of her favorite films of 2006: Marie Antoinette, with fabric selected by her husband, Bradley Whitford, who gifted his wife with lingerie during their courtship.

Each corset really represent each celebrity's style, doesn't it? I can picture Beyonce rocking her creation in concert. Dita's corset which features crystals and pink tail feathers was sold for $20,00 at the charity auction. [images via FWD; quotes via USA Today]
