While browsing Mrs. Grapevine, I noticed this style trend that's been going on and off for the past year and a half-spandex tights!

Beyonce paired her black skin-tight Oxford cropped leggings with a pair of black and white Sergio Rossi sandals. Beyonce's foot gear is the same one Nia Long and Posh have rock earlier.

Mariah slip on a pair of black and white Giambattista Valli heels. These shoes are the very pair Nicole Scherzinger wore to present at the 2007 Video Music Awards.

Kelly Rowland dressed up her Oxford capris with a flirty Grecian-like black blouse and a chic pair of black ankle heels when she attended the 2006 VMAs Absolute party.

Vera Wang bought her exquiste style to department store, Kohl's through the launch of her clothing line, Simply Vera Vera Vang. When I caught this on a re-run of Oprah, I am thoroughly excited as Vera Wang and Amsale Aberra are my favorite wedding designers.

As of late in the movie scheme, designer trench coats has become the one item to wear while strolling down down the streets of New York City. Let's take a look back at some memorable films where this much is demonstrated.

Jennifer Lopez's white Dolce & Gabbana trench was one of the many fashionable highlights off her 2002 romantic-comedy film, "Maid in Manhattan."

Lindsay Lohan repeated the cinematic awe of a city girl in a designer white trench for a scene in her 2006 flick, 'Just My Luck."

Angelina Jolie captaluated this chic trench coat into the fast-paced world of fashion a year prior to Lindsay Lohan in the blockbuster, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

Inspired in part by Strictly Fabulous Style's take on new red carpet trend (high-waisted pants), I decided to make this style spotlight a "practical or impractical" discussion.

Rocawear "I Will Not Lose" spokesmodel Ciara rock these fly pair of denim high-waisted jeans at the 2007 NBA All-Star Game in Miami. She rock another hip pair to host MTV TRL back in March.

Current face of Emporio Armani Diamonds Beyonce wore a pair of khaki high-waist jeans with a pair of gold Lorraine Schwartz hoops and a fitted black motorcyle leather jacket. Beyonce paid a visit to a local Houston, Texas food drive in a pair of high-waisted Dereon jeans. She paired her jeans with black studded Dereon top.

Singer/dancer/actress/TV & film producer Jennifer Lopez promoted her Spanish record earlier this year in a pair of high-waisted flare legged denim. She also wore wide-legged trousers with suspenders to team up with Secret Partners in Search of America's "Hottest" Dancer.

"Big Girls Don't Cry" singer Fergie rock her funky pair of purple high-waisted jeans with her new Fergie for Kipling handbag out and about in L.A. Eve flaunting her new blonde bob rocked a pair of dark denim as she left the Times Square MTV building.

High-waist pants practical or impractical?

I'm calling this trend IMPRACTICAL because high-waist denim calls for flat tummy and EVERYONE does NOT have one!

Only the brave and daring fashionistas can pull of this pull.

Rule of thumb: You don't want to rock shoulder-padded top with this trend if not you're going for a running back look.

Case in point: Jessica Simpson rocking a pair of ill-fitted high-waisted denim while having dinner in L.A.
